U.S. imposes anti-dumping plastic bags of Vietnam |
International Trade Commission, U.S. (ITC) has decided to levy two types of subsidies and dumping products on retail plastic bags (PE) imported from Vietnam.
Date 19 / 4, ITC press release said that the import of plastic bags from Vietnam PE threat of damage to domestic U.S. industry. Earlier, on 26 / 3, DOC announced the final decision on the investigation of anti-dumping duty and anti-subsidy tax on plastic bags in Vietnam PE, as confirmed by the producers / exporters Vietnam PE plastic bags sold at prices lower than the actual value in U.S. market from 52.3% to 76.11% and receive government benefits from less than 1% to 52.56%. DOC claims 16 manufacturers / exporters of plastic bags PE Vietnam are subject to antidumping tax rate is 52.30% separately, while the duty generally to manufacturers / exporters of Vietnam is 76.11%. All manufacturers / exporters of Vietnam must receive anti-subsidy tax is 5.28%. A source from the ITC said in the U.S. market, the value of imported PE plastic bags from Vietnam in 2009 had dropped to $ 43 million, lower than the level of U.S. $ 79.4 million in 2008.
